French Regulators have issued a ruling on Thursday US Tech Giant Google must have to pay French New and Publication Agencies for reusing their content.

According to Reuters news report, France’s Competition Authority Body ‘Autorite de la Concurrence’ has followed an earlier complaint by several unions of French News and Publishing agencies regarding the usage of their content by Google.

“Google’s practices caused a serious and immediate harm to the press sector, while the economic situation of publishers and news agencies is otherwise fragile, and while the law aimed on the contrary at improving the conditions of remuneration, they derive from content produced by journalists,” France’s Competition Authority said in a statement.
