Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Release Date

If the series is renewed for a new season, it may be a year or more before more show episodes are available to stream. Through updates, we know the series is set to release in late 2022 or early 2023.

The record of the Ragnarok series is based on a manga of the same name produced by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, and the manga is not yet complete as of date. Because of this, the series may want to ensure that it follows closely with the story it’s being adapted from. If more seasons of Record of Ragnarok come, there may be fairly long waits between them.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Characters

The first season of the series has already depicted three of the battles that will ultimately decide the fate of the entire humanity. In the first season, Thor faced off against the characters and ultimately defeated Lu Bu, a military general and warlord from the Han Dynasty in China. The gods attained another victory in the battle between Zeus and Adam, the first man, and humanity scored its first win when Kojiro Sasaki, a famous Japanese swordsman, defeated Poseidon.

If the series continues to follow the manga events, only, in that case, the second season will possibly feature the infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper and Raiden Tameemon, who is a highly-rated Japanese sumo wrestler and none other than Buddha himself on his human side.

On the god’s side, we see the Greek demigod Hercules, Shiva, the four-armed Hindu god of ruin and destruction, and Bishamonten, one of the four heavenly gods of Buddhism, will take the fight inside the ring.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Plot

The setup and background for “Record of Ragnarok” are extremely straightforward. Based on what happens in the series, the next matchup will be with Jack the Ripper and Hercules. Raiden Tameemon will take on Shiva, and Buddha will take Bishamonten.

The first season depicted three fights, and it seems possible that the second season will follow the same. Humanity has to win seven total fights to save itself from destruction, and they’re already down by one. If the fighting goes all the way to the 13th matchup, the show could conceivably last for at least two more seasons after its second.
