Fans of the anime “Yona of the Dawn” (“Akatsuki no Yona”), based on the manga by Mizuho Kusanagi, have been wondering for years whether the one-season series will be renewed. The show aired for 24 episodes from 2014-to 2015, with three original video animation specials (OVAs) released in 2016, however, it hasn’t been seen since.
The narrative follows the red-haired lone princess of Kouka and daughter of the pacifist King II in a shoujo anime aimed toward female viewers. She doesn’t realize her kingdom is about to face a violent political takeover — at the hands of her crush Su-Won, the son of her father’s brother (who doesn’t feel the same way).
This leads her to flee with her companion Son Hak, where she discovers the nasty truth about the country she thought was blossoming. To reclaim her father’s kingdom, she embarks on a quest for the fabled Four Dragon Warriors, which leads her on adventures including pirates, human trafficking, and more.
Yona Of The Dawn Season 2 Will Be Going To Out Now Or Not?
There is currently no word on whether Yona of the Dawn will be renewed for a second season. Due to low item sales, fans of Yona of the Dawn have theorized that the program would not be renewed for a second season, and the show’s social media pages are no longer advertising the series.
With 36 volumes of the ongoing manga series already published, there is enough material for a second season in which viewers could learn more about the legendary Dragon Warriors’ myth, delve a little deeper into Hak and Yona’s relationship, and come to a satisfying conclusion regarding Yona’s reclaiming of the throne from Su-Won, among other things.

Yona Of The Dawn Season 2 Story
The story of “Yona of the Dawn” Season 2 is intended to follow the manga, as is the case with many anime productions. The first season covered the first eight volumes of the manga, while the OVA included the entire 18th volume.
Yona and the dragons will prepare for combat against Su-Won and his friends in the second season, which will begin with Volume 9 and be based on extra chapters from the books.
The four Dragon Warriors are getting ready to embark on a new adventure. Princess Yona has had a relatively secluded life as the sole daughter of a pacifist monarch.
