At the time of this writing, she is best recognised for her appearances in All My Children and Mean Girls, but she’s also been in eighteen Hallmark movies.
Lacey Chabert Early Life
Lacey Nicole Chabert was born in Purvis, Mississippi, on September 30th, 1982. Her ancestry includes Cajun, Italian, Irish, and even English. She got her first acting job in a commercial for cough syrup after years of performing in school and community theatre shows. When she was a finalist on the talent scouting show “Star Search” in 1991, she received her big break. In New York, she auditioned for the role of Cosette in the Broadway production of Les Misérables. She was cast and performed in the role for over a year.

“A Little Piece of Heaven” was Chabert’s first film role when she was just nine years old. In the category of “Best Young Actress Under Ten in a Television Movie,” she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her work. In the 1993 season of ABC’s long-running soap opera “All My Children,” she had a recurring role as Erica Kane’s daughter. As Claudia Salinger, a juvenile violinist who vanished in 1994’s “Party of Five,” she was a breakout star. It follows the five orphaned Salinger children as they try to run and manage their late parents’ restaurant and finish high school in this episode. It aired from 1994 to 2000, a total of six seasons. The show was nominated for a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and seven Young Artist Awards throughout its existence. As a result of her performance, Chabert was honoured with a Young Artist Award in 1999 as well as a 1996 Golden Globe. In 1997 and 1998, she was nominated for and won two YoungStar Awards.
As Eliza Thornberry in the Nickelodeon series ‘The Wild Thornberrys,’ she began doing so in 1998 and continued to do so until 2004. For the 2002 film “The Wild Thornberrys Movie,” she repeated her role as Eliza. While working on “Balto 2: Wolf Quest,” she was cast as a supporting role. “The Spectacular Spiderman,” her voice role as Gwen Stacy in the short-lived animated series, aired from 2008 to 2009.
In the 1990s, she appeared in advertisements and voiced characters on television shows such “Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles,” “Aaahh!!! Real Monsters,” “Hey Arnold!,” “Hercules,” and “Rayman: The Animated Series.” “Anastasia” (1997 Disney film) and “Lost in Space” (1998 science fiction family film) include her as a kid voice actress for the titular character. Chabert provided the voice of Meg Griffith in the first season of “Family Guy,” which began in 1999, before Mila Kunis took over the part.
Lacey Chabert Film and Voice Acting Career
As a teenager, she appeared in “Tart” and “Not Another Teen Movie” in 2001, respectively. Following the drama “A Scoundrel’s Wife” in 2002, she appeared in the comedy “Daddy’s Daycare” the following year. It was in the teen comedy “Mean Girls,” in which she appeared alongside Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and Tina Fey, that she became well-known in 2004. For “Best On-Screen Team,” the cast received an MTV Movie Award. In 2005, she acted in the comedy “Dirty Deeds,” and the following year, she co-starred in the slasher flick “Black Christmas” with Michelle Trachtenberg. Chabert began to shift her focus to lesser films and television shows after completing a string of high-profile projects. “The Pleasure Drivers” and “A New Wave” were two of her lesser appearances in 2006, as well as “Fatwa,” “High Hopes,” and “Be My Baby” in 2007. As well as “Reach for Me,” she also starred in 2008’s comedy “Sherman’s Way.” Anything is Possible (2012), Ghosts of Midnight Lane (2014), Telling of the Shoes (2015), Christian Mingle (2016), and The Lost Tree (2017) are just a few of her other films from the 2010s.
The exception to this is “Mean Girls,” in which she had a starring role in a larger film. She is commonly seen in movies for television. Having been in over eighteen Hallmark Channel productions, she’s been dubbed “the Queen of Hallmark.” has appeared in over eighteen Hallmark films. Aside from “The Ghost Whisperer,” she has starred as a guest star on “Teachers,” “Baby Daddy,” and the Billy Ray Cyrus-produced series “Still the King,” where she has had recurring parts.

When she’s not working, she may be found voicing guest roles on television shows such as The Proud Family, Eloise, Robot Chicken, and The Lion Guard. She provided the voice of Kacey in the animated series “Bratz” from 2005 to 2006, as well as roles in the two “Bratz” feature films. Kulipari: An Army of Frogs, Allen Gregory, Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Mystery, Young Justice, Shimmer and Shine are only few of the animated shows in which she has provided the voice of a character. The Wild Thornberrys: Animal Adventures, Nicktoons Racing, Rugrats Go Wild!, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Young Justice: Legacy are just few of the video games she has voiced.

When Chabert and David Nedhar got married in 2013, they welcomed a daughter, Julia, into the world.

Tarzana, a suburb of Los Angeles, was purchased by Lacy and David in November 2019 for $1.9 million. They used to own a West Hollywood penthouse.
