Jordan is a lifelong New England resident from Waterbury, Connecticut. Before moving to Buffalo, she spent two years covering many stories as the primetime evening news anchor for WETM 18 News in Elmira.
She had a particular fondness for the Mental Health Awareness Month story. Jordan created a PSA in which she asked Pennsylvania and New York leaders about what mental health means to them. Sen. Chuck Schumer, Gov. Kathy Hochul, and 30 others, along with fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger, participated in her effort.
Jordan worked as an intern and later a freelance reporter for WSHU Public Radio, the NPR affiliate radio station for Connecticut and Long Island, before moving to the Twin Tiers. She provided in-depth coverage of Connecticut’s legislature for almost 300,000 listeners daily.
