She was a multimedia journalist with KERO-23 ABC in Bakersfield, California, from 2013 to 2015. She hosted Saturday morning newscasts and shot, produced, wrote, and edited stories for the news department.

Her first job in the media was as a reporter for Cronkite NewsWatch En Espaol in the Phoenix, Arizona, Area, where Marin first got her start. After being accepted into the EW Scripps Cronkite Career program, Lesley began her professional life in Bakersfield, California. As a web producer and multimedia journalist, she traveled throughout the Central Valley. She moved to Las Vegas three years later and began working as an anchor and reporter for KTNV.

The tragic mass massacre at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, many local and national elections in the swing state, and the city’s first professional sports club, the Golden Knights, were all covered during her tenure there. Lesley’s family left the frigid Midwest for the warm climate of Southern California not long after her birth.

She completed high school at Corona’s Santiago and then studied at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Devils, you better win! Lesley is a journalist and a member of the NAHJ; she is the first Mexican-American in her family.

She loves spending time with her two nephews, going on adventures with her best friends, and cuddling with the French Bulldog that lives with her family when she’s not working.
