Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackman Discuss Deadpool 3’s Wolverine!

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman know that you could be feeling both excited and bewildered right now after their surprising news yesterday that Wolverine will make a comeback in Deadpool 3. But don’t worry; they are available to assist.

Before their upcoming movie opens in theatres on September 6, 2024, the lifelong friends responded to any timetable worries in a humorous new video that they published on Twitter on Wednesday.

In the clip, Jackman adds, “I had a lot of questions, and I’m sure you had a lot of questions, but rest assured, we’re going to answer them right now. How, for instance, is Wolverine still alive after Logan? It turns out that the issue has a straightforward remedy.

Reynolds explains, “Logan takes place in 2029. Different thing. Logan died in Logan. Not touching that. “What truly occurs in our movie is that…”

Before Reynolds and Jackman can discuss any significant story issues, “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” a 1984 feel-good classic by Wham, loudly overpowers their conversation. As for the subjects they discussed? Jackman only described it as “some answers-ish,” while Reynold’s caption claims that the two briefly discussed “timeline questions,” “Logan canon,” and “if we can do this all day or not.”

Even without audio, they continue to tease what seems to be an enormous (and undoubtedly gory) brawl between the two as Jackman imitates, stabbing Reynolds while sticking his claws directly into the top of Reynolds’ head. Reynolds can be heard yelling, “Thank you, Kevin Feige!” after the song ends.

Throughout his previous two movies, Reynolds’ Deadpool character repeatedly made fun of Jackman and Wolverine. The two characters’ conflict in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine was revisited during a Deadpool 2 end-credits scene, and the Merc with a Mouth hinted at a potential reunion.

Deadpool said at the time, “Look. Eventually, you’ll hang up the claws, making many people extremely sad.” But one day, your old friend Wade will ask you to mount up again. When he does, say yes. Love you.
