Are Glorilla & Cardi B’s “Tomorrow 2” Video A Beautiful Thing?

Glorilla And Cardi: Only a few months from props to hard lyrical drops. The dynamic duo released their anticipated joint single “Tomorrow 2” on Friday, a few days after Cardi B praised GloRilla’s breakout summer anthem single “F.N.F.” as promised (Sept. 23).

“P-poppin’ s-t, you’d think I went to chiropractic school,” I just emailed my n—five attachments, and I’m looking as good as hell today. Why did you confront me about an n—a? In the music video for the song, GloRilla raps, “Man, you b—es backward/ They come at me ’bout n—s that I don’t even find attractive/ I don’t know that n—a, I just saw him on the town before.”

The Memphis rapper and her crew had a rough time in the accompanying video, ghost-riding down Manhattan avenues in neon-colored automobiles, stopping for munchies at bodegas, and twerking their way through the subway.

By the time Cardi arrives in the middle of the song wearing green sunglasses and a green-and-white varsity jacket, she already has plenty of things to say to her detractors. “B—h, I still have cases open, keep your mouth shut tomorrow/ I know that I’m rich, but I can’t help it, b—h, I’m hood as f-k/ I’ve been on these b—-es neck so long.

Sometimes my foot gets stuck/ I can’t put you in my business, you might wish me dead tomorrow/ B—-es is on d-k today, sing every word of ‘Up’ tomorrow/ Play with me today, then go to bed because it will be posted tomorrow. Raps Cardi.

The song is Cardi’s first offering since earlier this month when she gave $100,000 to the Bronx middle school she attended as a child. GloRilla also contributed by visiting her alma mater on September 22 and delivering a $25,000 check to Martin Luther King College Prep High School in Frayser, North Memphis, supporting the school’s fine arts program.

GloRilla is ecstatic about the popularity of her debut track, “F.N.F,” which has become a summer anthem. The viral collaboration with Hitkidd led to the emerging artist signing a record deal with Yo Gotti’s CMG label, but it also helped her achieve her first career No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
