Who Was Jhene Aiko’s Brother, Miyagi?
This is Miyagi Hasani. Famous singer Jhene Aiko (born Jhene Kiko Efuru Chilombo) had an older brother named Ayo Chilombo. He was taken to Karamo Chilombo and Christina Yamamoto on July 7, 1986. Before his untimely passing, he was a well-known figure in the media.
He is the youngest of several siblings, including Jhene Aiko and sisters Miyoko, Jamila (aka Mila J), and Jahi Chilombo. Jhene admitted, “I have been in pretty terrible periods,” when asked how her brother’s death had rendered her helpless. I am a compassionate and emotional person. Sometimes I feel like I can’t walk outside because I’ll pick up on the feelings of everyone around me, or I’ll watch the news and be like, “Ok, s***.
I’ll be so uncomfortable that I won’t be able to do anything about it. Because of this, I write. So that’s why I make music. I’m always looking for new ways to incorporate it into my work. Her grief of losing her brother Miyagi caused her to write the touching ballad For My Brother.

The singer had no intention of releasing the song to the public initially. Still, after his death, she realized that many people could relate to the sentiments expressed therein and decided to do so anyway. The singer, who has a massive tattoo of her ex-boyfriend Sean, writes about Miyagi on his birthday every year.
Sharing a snapshot of him, she wrote, “it never gets easier, tbh 8 years without, and it sucks!! I miss you so much, and it hurts to cry, but I also grin and laugh because that’s how you made everyone feel. All of us here adore and mourn your absence.
