Backstreet Boys Nick Carter Accused of Rape of 17-Year-Old Girl In 2001!

According to Deadline, the Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys is being investigated for a sexual assault claim, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Former Dream member Melissa Schuman has accused Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter of rape. Both Schuman and Carter appeared in the 2004 horror movie The Hollow. In a detailed blog post, Schuman claimed that the alleged attack happened after they were cast in the same “made-for-TV movie.” Carter allegedly invited Schuman to his apartment and engaged in oral sex with her despite Schuman’s insistence that she “didn’t want go any further” than kissing. He allegedly took her to his bedroom, where he sexually assaulted her.

After her label reps “[anticipated] a spark between the two of us,” according to Schuman, she first spoke to Carter on the phone while she was filming a video for a remix of her group’s 2001 hit “This Is Me.” A few years later, on the night of the alleged assault, she agreed to hang out at Carter’s Santa Monica, California apartment with her roommate.

The Backstreet Boys star, who was 22 at the time, allegedly asked her if she wanted to “come into his office and listen to some new music” during their alleged 18-year-old encounter, which she described as a “casual hangout.” Melissa Schuman gave a comprehensive account of the alleged assault, saying she could “create a picture of the layout of this apartment.”

She wrote, “After a brief kiss, he took my hand and led me into the restroom next to his office.” “We kept kissing after he closed the door. What were we doing in there? I questioned him. He didn’t say anything and kept kissing me. Then he picked me up, set me on the sink counter, and began taking the buttons off my jeans. I informed him that I didn’t want to continue. He paid no attention. He was indifferent.

Then, according to Schuman, Nick Carter allegedly took off her pants and engaged in oral sex with her while defying orders to stop. Therefore, she writes, “I switched off the bathroom light so that I wouldn’t see anything.” He informed me he wanted to look at me, so he kept turning the light back on. I recall thinking that he might stop after this, but he persisted.

She added, “Someone inside the house knocked on the restroom door. He then continued his conversation with me in the other bathroom. Then he removed his pants. I won’t soon forget this time. Even though it was dark, the bathroom had a nightlight, so there was just enough light to see me in the mirror. He requested I have oral sex with him as he was sitting on the sink counter in the restroom. He was angry when I declined. He said I should do it for you since I did it for you, so please do the same for me.

As Nick Carter allegedly led her into the bedroom, “threw [her] on the bed,” and climbed on top of her, Schuman claimed that she “felt afraid and trapped.” She said, “I informed him that I was a virgin and didn’t want to have sex. I explained to him that I was holding out for my future husband. I repeated it numerous times. To seduce me, he said, “I could be your husband.”

Nick Carter told Rolling Stone, “I am startled and horrified by Ms. Schuman’s charges. Melissa never told me during our relationship or at any point afterward that anything we did wasn’t mutually agreed upon. I continued to respect and encourage Melissa personally and professionally as we collaborated to record a song and perform. Nearly 20 years later, this is the first I’ve heard of these allegations. To purposely hurt or inconvenience Someone goes against who I am and all I value.

Melissa Schuman told her then-manager about the rape and insisted she wanted to press charges. Still, she backed down after being told “my abuser had the most powerful litigator in the country” and that legal action “would ultimately hurt me professionally as well as publicly.” The Dream singer claimed she received numerous voicemails from Carter “for weeks” after the rape, including “one last nasty, angry message.”

Melissa Schuman claimed that after reading criticism (such as “She is a big fat liar”) on Radar Online’s October 26th report about Carter being under investigation for sexual assault in 2006, Schuman was moved to share her account. The singer expressed hope at the end of her post. She wrote, “I certainly don’t want to be ‘known’ for this. “I never intended for anyone to learn about my experience.

I wanted to put the memories in a box in my head and let time slowly suffocate them. I feel compelled to speak out to inspire and motivate other victims to share their experiences. We are more powerful together. If you are reading this and have experienced abuse, remember that you are not alone and do not have to keep quiet. I am aware of the fear. I’m afraid. I agree with you. I support you, and I believe that by working together, we can shed light on issues that have long been shrouded in mystery.
