Kelsey Ballerini Divorce: Judge Me For It, That’s On You, She Says In Defence of Her Divorce!

According to Kelsea Ballerini, delaying the divorce from Morgan Evans would have been a “disservice.”

In a recent episode of the podcast “Tell Me About It With Jade Iovine,” Kelsea Ballerini, 29, spoke candidly about her relationship ending.

The “Half of my Hometown” singer claimed that because she is “very intuitive and in tune” with herself, she understood when to obtain a divorce.

“Yes, you are correct; for a while, it was more along the lines of, “OK, this is simply a new part of a relationship,” as relationships go through seasons, right? Additionally, not everything will be sunshine and butterflies. Just not the case, “said Ballerini. “I thought for a while, “Oh, this is just… the glitter fades off.” That is what occurs. After that, you enter a period where you wait for it to return. Additionally, it doesn’t always.”

But if you know something is wrong, and you choose to stay, she continued, “it is such a disservice and an insult to yourself.”

The country music artist continued by discussing how “shame” is associated with divorce.

“I won’t feel anything else but that one thing. Simply put, I won’t feel it, “stressed Ballerini. You’re free to judge me for it, OK.

In 2017, Evans and Kelsea Ballerini got hitched. The two separated in August after almost five years of marriage, as reported on Instagram. Initially meeting one other in 2016, Kelsea Ballerini and Evans were hosting the CMC Music Awards in Australia.

Ballerini said when she first started writing, “I’ve always tried to share my life with you genuinely and transparently while preserving layers of my personal life as they unfold. I wanted you to know that I am going through a divorce, as it is now public information.

“Finding suitable phrases is challenging in this situation. However, I greatly appreciate the years I spent married to Morgan and am excited for the upcoming seasons. Please be aware that we are both vulnerable, mending, and doing our best to show up despite our upcoming busy schedules, “She added.

In his statement, Morgan Evans penned: “The news that Kelsea and I are divorcing after almost five years of marriage makes me very sad. I wish it could be different, but tragically it can’t.”

He penned the song “Over for You” shortly after Morgan Evans and Ballerini decided to have a divorce to explore his feelings and his sadness. After performing it for an audience in Australia, he ultimately decided to release the song.

According to Evans to Fox News Digital, “all my social media and the conversations I started having with people turned from ‘Great show man’ or ‘Come back to Kentucky soon’ to stuff like, ‘Thank you for writing the song, it’s getting me through my divorce,’ or ‘Thanks for putting into words what I felt when I went through this seven years ago,’ and stuff like that.

“When events began to unfold in that manner, I was aware that I needed to properly document and communicate them, and that is exactly what we did. And I’m delighted with the music.”
