In the Cotswold Hills, Prince William got together with old friends to celebrate a weekend of love.
The Prince of Wales, 40, attended his ex-girlfriend Rose Farquhar and George Gemmell’s wedding at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Tetbury, in Gloucestershire on Saturday, according to a source who spoke to PEOPLE.
It was a lovely event, even if the bride and her father arrived in an Audi A3 after their car broke down.

Along with Olivia Hunt, another ex-girlfriend of Prince William, Tom Inskip, Jamie Murray Wells, Guy Pelly, Mark Tomlinson, Harry Meade, Natasha Rufus Isaacs, and her husband Rupert Finch, who also happened to be Kate Middleton’s ex-boyfriend, all attended the event.
In her 2011 book The Making of a Royal Romance, Kati Nicholl referred to William’s connection with Farquhar, a boyhood friend who also attended his 2011 wedding to Kate, 40, as “an innocent, delicate romance.”
According to Daily Mail, she is considered William’s first serious girlfriend.
Farquhar studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City and is currently employed in special projects and business development for the Duchess of Rutland’s Belvoir Castle. In addition, Farquhar is a singer-songwriter who did an audition for season five of The Voice UK in 2016.
William’s public appearance comes following the Netflix launch of Harry & Meghan, a tell-all docuseries about Prince Harry & Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex discuss their courtship, love story, and transition as senior working royals in the documentary.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, was candid about the brothers’ bond even though a source told PEOPLE that William and Kate are skipping the docuseries.
The source predicted it would be a while before the brothers could get along. There is a great deal of rage there.
