Sony Unveils ‘Gran Turismo’ Movie Teaser: On Wednesday night, Sony released the first teaser for its upcoming Gran Turismo film, offering fans their first glimpse at what to anticipate from the video game franchise’s adaptation to the big screen.
The one-minute clip serves more as a behind-the-scenes sneak look to build anticipation than it does as a trailer. Along with the fantastic collection of race car b-roll, there are soundbites from the cast and director Neill Blomkamp. The preview promises plenty of drama, a love tale, and racing action.
With the help of the game’s GT Academy program, Jann Mardenborough (played by Archie Madekwe) uses his gaming expertise to realize his dream of becoming a professional racing car driver. This is the focus of Gran Turismo. Stranger Things actor David Harbour will also play a significant part.
On August 11, 2023, Gran Turismo is anticipated in theaters.
