Actor In “The Terminator” Films Earl Boen Dies At 81!

Veteran character and voice actor Earl Boen passed away on Thursday in Hawaii. He was best known for playing Dr. Peter Silberman in “The Terminator” movies. He was 81.

According to a friend of Earl Boen’s and his family, the actor received a stage four lung cancer diagnosis in the fall of 2022.

As Dr. Silberman, a criminal psychologist hired to question Michael Biehn‘s Kyle Reese in “The Terminator,” “Terminator 2: Judgement Day,” and “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” Earl Boen played a role in all three movies. The 2019 film “Terminator: Dark Fate” also featured him in archival material.

Earl Boen, born on August 8, 1941, has worked on numerous films, television shows, and video games. His filmography also includes “9 to 5,” “Living in Peril,” “The Prince,” “Sioux City,” “Marked for Death,” “My Stepmother Is an Alien,” “Alien Nation,” “Touch and Go,” “The Main Event,” “Battle Beyond the Stars,” “To Be or Not to Be,” “Movers & Shakers,” “Stewardess School,” and “Walk Like a Man.”

In the 1980s television sitcom “Mama’s Family,” Earl Boen played Rev. Lloyd Meechum. The Streets of San Francisco, Hawaii Five-O, Wonder Woman, Police Woman, Barnaby Jones, “A Man Called Sloane,” “The Dukes of Hazzard,” “Soap,” “King’s Crossing,” “Three’s Company,” “Fantasy Island,” “It’s a Living,” “The Golden Girls,” “The Golden Palace,” “The Wonder Years,” and “Seinfeld” are just a few of the shows he appeared on as The Children Nobody Wanted, Last of the Good Guys, The Taming of the Shrew, Getting Physical, Antony and Cleopatra, Annihilator, and Opposites Attract are just a few of the TV movies he has acted in.

Earl Boen was well-known for his work as a voice actor, lending his voice to a variety of characters, including Mr. Bleakman in “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” Seor Senior Sr. in “Kim Possible,” the Narrator in “World of Warcraft,” and Captain LeChuck in the “Monkey Island” video game series.

His wife Cathy, daughter Ruby, and grandchildren Kimmy Abaricia and Kimo Harbin, as well as his wife, survive him.
