American novelist Jack Williams Hayford served as Chancellor Emeritus of The King’s University, formerly known as The King’s College and Seminary. He was also a Pentecostal priest.

One of the few flagship churches in the Foursquare denomination, the Church on the Way in Van Nuys, California, used to be where he served as senior pastor. He served as the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel fourth president.

Why Did Jack Hayford Pass Away?

On January 8, 2023, Pastor Jack Hayford passed away at 88. The Jack Hayford Ministries officially announced his death. In honor of him, his buddy Pastor Robert Morris penned the following statement:

“My good friend Pastor Jack Hayford went to be with Jesus early this morning. He was a preacher, teacher, servant, and the Man of God. He was 88 years old. He served as my instructor and spiritual father, and I am incredibly grateful for how he influenced my life.

On March 8, 2017, Anna, Hayford’s 83-year-old wife of nearly 60 years, passed away from pancreatic cancer. Rebecca, Jack III, Mark, and Christina were the four children he and Anna had. In 2018, he wed Valerie, his second wife.

Hayford was described as a “Kingdom Ambassador” whose influence “passed denominational, generational, and global borders” by Randy Remington, the current president of Icfg. How Jack lived his own life reflected his love for Holy Spirit-led worship, fervent intercession, and biblical preaching that exalted Jesus. He carried out the advice he gave to others.

Cause of Death: Pastor Jack Hayford

According to his family, Pastor Jack Hayford reportedly passed away peacefully in his sleep early on a Sunday morning.

He was born on June 25, 1934, in Hayford. He was miraculously cured of an illness that may have killed him. Later, when he contracted polio, church elders anointed him with oil and prayed for his recovery. Again, God delivered him.

Contrary to popular belief, Hayford observed, “God is not cheap when it comes to miracles and healings.” Such incredible things frequently occur when the truth is spoken in Jesus’ name.

According to the ministry’s website, “these two amazing incidents sparked a fire in Jack’s heart for God and convinced him that the Holy Spirit is alive and active in the contemporary church.”
