Foo Fighters Announce Shows: The Foo Fighters are set to make their first live appearances since drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away in March. The band has planned a pair of memorial shows to pay respect to Hawkins.
Wednesday was the day when the band announced the performances on Instagram. The first is scheduled for September 3 at Wembley Stadium in London, and the second is expected to take place on September 27 at the Forum in Los Angeles. At a later time, we will release the complete lineups for each of the shows. Tickets can be purchased at the band’s official website beginning June 17.
Beginning at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time, the concert in London on September 3 will also be filmed and broadcast live on the websites of Paramount+ and MTV’s YouTube page. Later on the same day, at 10 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), CBS will screen a one-hour primetime notable highlighting highlights from the performance. Meanwhile, the whole show will be available to stream on-demand beginning the week of September 5.

The band Foo Fighters released a statement in which they wrote, “Millions of people mourned his untimely loss on March 25, with impassioned and honest tributes coming from fans as well as performers Taylor idolized.”
“The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family, and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon — his bandmates and his inspirations playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones that he brought to life,” said the band Foo Fighters. “The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will be held in the United States and Canada in October and November.”
In addition to announcing the shows, the Foo Fighters shared a statement by Alison Hawkins, Hawkins’ widow. When Did Foo Fighters Complete 50 Years?
The death of Taylor Hawkins, who was 50 years old and a member of the Foo Fighters, occurred on March 25 while the band was on tour in South America. The official cause of death has not yet been determined.
