After testifying about his involvement in apartheid cruelty, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) gave him amnesty in 1999.

After entering a guilty plea to ordering security police to shoot anti-apartheid campaigner Frank Chikane, he was given a 10-year suspended sentence for attempted murder in 2007.

According to family spokeswoman Peet Bothma, funeral arrangements are being arranged and will be announced. Keep yourself updated with all the latest news from our website Newswatchlist.com and get all the recent updates.
