David Crosby, a legendary rock musician who gained fame in the 1960s as a founding member of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash (later known as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), has gone away.
The death of Crosby was announced by his widow Jan Dance in a statement given to Variety on Thursday.
Sources close to Crosby confirmed the revelation to Rolling Stone and Billboard. Dance’s sister Patricia sent The New York Times confirmation that her brother had passed suddenly on Wednesday.
