Daughters are like their mums.
In a fresh image that the “With You” singer posted on Instagram in honor of the matriarch’s 62nd birthday, Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson exactly resembled their mother, Tina Simpson.
Jessica, 42, and Ashlee, 38, grinned for the camera while having a girls’ night out at a restaurant, looking somewhat like their young-appearing mother.
“We are because She is…Thank you, Mom, for living 62 years of life to the fullest,” the “Irresistible” songstress wrote on Sunday. “You inspire unwavering strength and determination with the purest of hearts.”
She added, “Hero status, indeed. We had a beautiful week celebrating our Mom- the natural born small and mighty! May God Bless you abundantly! Lovin’, you is one of life’s greatest treasures! 1.18.23.”
Many admirers commented in the comments section on how Tina appeared to be her daughter’s sister.
“At first I was ‘I didn’t know she had 2 sisters,’” one person wrote.
“That’s your mom?! She looks like your sister,” another agreed.
Others remarked on how youthful Tina appears for someone in her 60s.
“What the hell?! Did your mom find the fountain of youth?!?!” a supporter joked.
“Who in this photo is 62?! Ain’t no fkn way someone in this photo is 62! And I’m not being nice just FACTS,” another netizen wrote.
“Your mom does not look 62… I hope I look that amazing when I hit 62!!” one more added.
Tina frequently writes on her blog about Jessica and Ashlee and how happy she is for them.
“Happy Mother’s Day to my biggest blessings @jessicasimpson @ashleesimpsonross,” she wrote on Instagram in May 2020. “There is nothing better than being your Mom except maybe being GiGi to your children! God sent me two beautiful angels to cherish, nurture, love, and hold up high! I am eternally grateful I love you, my girls, beyond the moon and stars and all the heavens.”
And on National Daughters Day that September, Tina shared a selfie with Jessica and Ashlee, writing, “How did I get so lucky with these two loves of my life @jessicasimpson @ashleesimpsonross.”
Tina and her ex-husband Joe Simpson share Jessica and Ashlee. She and Joe, 64, wed in 1978 and divorced in 2013.
In addition to becoming a grandma of six, Tina co-founded the $1 billion Jessica Simpson Collection with the “Newlyweds” star.
Maxwell, 10, Ace, 9, and Birdie, 3, are the three children that Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson, share.
