The top-rated reality competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race is produced, hosted and judged by the iconic drag queen and model. We could now go on and on about the 62-year-old television personality’s career and countless accomplishments, but instead, we want to change the subject and look into his private life.
We’re happy to announce that the Emmy-winning presenter has been happily married for many years, despite his notoriously quiet approach to his personal life. So who is the hubby of RuPaul? Find out by reading on.
Is RuPaul Married?
In March 2017, according to Pink News, RuPaul revealed to Hollywood Today Live that he and Georges LeBar, his longtime partner, secretly wed on their 23rd anniversary in January. “I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in 1994 on his birthday. Therefore, we got married on his birthday, the anniversary of when we met, this year in January,” the legendary drag queen remarked.
In his reflections on his marriage to Georges, RuPaul called him a “wonderful person” who is uninterested in stardom. RuPaul said, “Most of the time, he’s on the ranch in Wyoming. In case you don’t know, Georges manages a 60,000-acre farm.
Although the couple had no intention of getting married, RuPaul revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the outcome of the 2016 presidential election had changed their minds.

“We thought, we don’t have to get married. But then, in light of what’s happening in the world today, what’s happening in Washington, we thought, you know what? Let’s do it. Let’s do it, because there’s too much at stake with our businesses … so, that’s why we did it,” he explained.
After exchanging vows, RuPaul was adamant that nothing would change in their day-to-day life: “That paper doesn’t mean nothin’!” he announced to Entertainment Tonight. “If you’re devoted to a person, nothing’s gonna change that. And after 23 years, you know, hey, I know him. He knows me. I love him. He’s my favorite person on the planet I’ve met.”
Georges LeBar Hails From Australia And Now Owns A Ranch In Wyoming!
On January 24, 1973, Georges LeBar was born in Australia.
He grew up in the “Land Down Under,” but he eventually traveled the world to study fashion and design. According to his official website, Georges has studied in Paris, New York, and Miami. He’s also a professional painter, describing his work as a “reference from my history [and] comparing it to the present; art is about exploring life for me.”
Georges wants a life away from the spotlight while his husband does well in the show industry. He spends his time caring for his roughly 60,000-acre ranch in Wyoming. He received the LeBar Ranch from his grandpa, who managed a prosperous sheep and cattle operation for many years, according to The Guardian.

On the 60,000-acre property, there have been rumors that oil companies may be fracking, but neither Georges nor RuPaul have responded to the claims in the media. According to their neighbors, the couple presumably has little control over whether fracking takes place on their property.
“Unless you own 100 percent of the fossil fuel rights under your land — and the vast majority of ranches don’t — you can’t prohibit oil and gas development. You don’t have a choice,” Jay Butler, a fourth-generation rancher and owner of the 18,000-acre Robinson Ranch, told The Guardian. “If you drive north out of Douglas, all the ranches are involved with the oil industry.”
