What Was Steve Mackey Cause of Death

Steve Mackey, who played bass for Pulp for many years, has died at 56, his wife said.

The music producer’s wife, Katie Grand, posted the sad news that Mackey had died on his Instagram account. She told him he had died after being hospitalized for three months.

She did not, however, know what killed Steve Mackey.

“After three months in hospital, fighting with all his strength and determination, we are shocked and devastated to have said goodbye my brilliant, beautiful husband, Steve Mackey,” she wrote.

Grand gave the Pulp bassist an award and said he was the most talented person she had ever met. Mackey’s wife mentioned he was also a photographer, producer, filmmaker, and musician.

She ended the message by thanking everyone at the NHS who worked hard to care for him. In the worst time of their lives, the family also asked for privacy.

To honor his memory, Pulp also released a separate statement about their friend and bass player. In 2012, when the band was on tour in South America, they remembered spending time with him. Mackey reportedly told them to climb in the Andes at that time.

As they granted his wish, the band members said it was a magical moment for everyone because Mackey always made things happen for himself and the band.
