According to the Sacramento Police Department, the collision occurred on San Juan Road between Binghampton and Bridgeford drives shortly after 8:15 p.m.

At the scene, it appeared that a car had hit a curb and a tree. Witnesses at the scene told CBS13 that they saw the car crash and lose control before it started smoking.
