Liberty Station Shooting In San Diego

According to San Diego police, a sh00ting during a Juneteenth celebration at a park in Liberty Station on Saturday night left one person ded and another wounded. The sh00ter has not yet been located.

At the scene, members of the San Diego Police Department and San Diego Fire Department were spotted performing CPR on one victim. The incident was reported at 6:45 p.m. at NTC Park near Cushing Road and Womble Road. You can see the tweet.

Police later confirmed a second victim of a gunshot wound. He was brought to a hospital after being shot in the leg. According to a news statement issued on Sunday by San Diego police Lt. Steve Shebloski, his wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

Both victims were present at the party.

Shebloski said the gunshot was a singular incident connected to a brawl that physically broke out in the audience toward the event’s conclusion.

Police described the suspect as a black male in his mid-20s wearing dark-colored attire.

The SDPD Homicide Division is investigating the incident.
