According to the sheriff, at least two people were ki!!ed on Saturday in an “active shooter” incident at a campground close to the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington. A suspect has been captured.

“Officers pursued, closed in on the suspect, and have the suspect in custody. Multiple individuals have suffered gunshot wounds,” the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post at about 10:50 p.m.

Kyle Foreman said, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, three other people, including the alleged gunman, were hurt.

Foreman said the sh00ter started firing around 8:20 p.m. around 100 yards from the event.

Law enforcement personnel arrived and located the culprit after the suspected sh00ter “walked away,” Foreman claimed. Before being apprehended, the man “continued to shoot randomly into the crowd,” the officer claimed.

Before that, the sheriff had stated that there was an “active shooter at Gorge Amphitheatre,” adding the warning, “If at the Gorge, seek cover. Run, hide or fight suspect.”

The open-air location, which has a capacity of 27,500 people, was slated to hold the Beyond Wonderland electronic dance festival on Saturday.

“Please avoid the Gorge Gate H campgrounds area as it is closed due to an incident that has been handled by local authorities,” On Twitter Beyond Wonderland stated. “There is no current danger to festival-goers or the campgrounds.”

The electronic dance festival’s organizers stated early on Sunday that the second day of the event had been postponed “due to the incident that took place in the overflow camping area.”
