Bachman-Turner Overdrive Musician Robbie Bachman Dies At 69!
At age 69, Robbie Bachman, the drummer, co-founder, and part-namesake of the ’70s rock group Bachman-Turner Overdrive, passed away. The news was announced by his brother Randy Bachman, the band’s guitarist and singer “A second sorrowful departure My younger brother Robbie Bachman has joined his parents and brother Gary on the other side, and BTO is providing the driving beat. Jeff Beck might require a drummer. Together, we rocked the world as he was a crucial cog in our rock ‘n’ roll machine.” Unknown at this time is the cause of death.

Robbie Bachman-Turner Overdrive was founded in Winnipeg in 1973, and the same year, they also put out their first two records, Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Bachman-Turner Overdrive II. The latter resulted in “Takin’ Care of Business,” one of their biggest songs. “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” from the album Not Fragile the year after was another of their biggest singles.

What Was The Real Name of Robbie Bachman?
The younger brother of guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Randy Bachman, and drummer Robin Peter Kendall Bachman was from Canada. He was the Brave Belt and Bachman-Turner Overdrive bands’ first drummer. Additionally, he was occasionally given the names “Robbie” or “Rob” in the liner notes of the Brave Belt and BTO albums.
