As inflation, new COVID variants, and stock market downturns rise, things don’t look good for Joe Biden, who seems blissfully ignorant of the latest threats to his presidency on Nantucket, Battenfeld.
There is no doubt that Democrats are out of touch with everyday Americans. Whether it’s Joe Biden leaning on a billionaire’s mansion on an exclusive island or Nancy Pelosi leading a broken House.
Mr Rubenstein, a leveraged-buyout tycoon, specialising in buying companies and laying off workers to make more money, will be Biden’s Thanksgiving host on Nantucket.
Rubinstein’s business is similar to Mitt Romney’s former firm, which Democrats viciously attacked during the former Massachusetts governor’s presidential campaign. However, you won’t hear about that anymore now that Biden is travelling in the same circles.
Before Thanksgiving, Biden – who had his family dinner catered by a Nantucket restaurant – addressed Americans on Al Roker’s program during the Macy’s Parade.
Biden said, “America is back after two years.”
Well, we disagree. Let’s check out the current situation to get our facts straight!
Current Situation
The price of gas is skyrocketing. Even the cost of turkey went up, supply shortages affect shopping, and a new Coronavirus variant from southern Africa threatens to make already high rates of infections explode further.
Likewise, Biden’s approval ratings are at record lows. The only president with a lower rating at this point is Donald Trump. A majority of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the job.
Even on tony Nantucket, Biden faced the indignity of getting a vulgar gesture from one resident.
A White House pool report says that while most people welcomed Biden, reporters “did witness one gentleman standing on his porch giving the middle finger to the presidential motorcade as we approached the coast guard station.”
It hurts to hear that.
If Biden insists on running, Democrats aren’t so quietly fretting over the party’s prospects in 2024.
It’s implausible that the 79-year-old president will run for re-election when he’s 81. So, Democrats may face an internal struggle between progressives and moderates over who will take the torch in 2024.
Even though Kamala Harris should be the clear favourite. But her approval ratings are worse than Joe Biden’s – which could lead to a landslide defeat in three years.
Dems cannot even manoeuvre for the position because that would be disrespectful to the elderly Biden, who insists that he will run again. The party is left in a bind.
Right now, polls indicate that Donald Trump would win if Biden ran against him again.
