Bridgerton Season 3: Please don’t make the Ton wait any longer for Bridgerton’s upcoming season, dear reader. On the other hand, this author can confirm that Season 3 production is well underway in Europe.
Fans should be prepared to wait a while longer until the new season’s release. However, information about the upcoming novel in the steamy romance series is starting to surface. We can’t help but take in every delicious detail, much like the Ton’s dedicated Whistledown readers.
Season 2 of Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) ended on a less-than-happy note, with Eloise eventually understanding Penelope was responsible for the rumors about her family’s scandals in the season’s closing moments.
Theo and Eloise’s budding romance has been destroyed, and Penelope’s ambitions of dating Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) have been dashed, further tensing the already tense situation.
Viscount Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and the stunning, independent Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), who had a turbulent relationship and frequent disagreements, eventually married and had a happy life.
Season 3 of this relationship between Penelope and Colin will see more growth. Below is a list of the remaining details for the upcoming season.
Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date: When Will It Come Out?
As of this writing, Netflix has not yet announced season 3’s release date. The only thing that suggests a trend is that each season was released two years after the previous one. The first season debuted on December 25, 2020, and on March 25, 2022, the second.
We are crossing our fingers for a 2023 premiere, as Season 3 is currently filming and is anticipated to complete in December 2022.

Bridgerton Season 3 Story
Netflix has stated that they aim to adapt all of Julia Quinn’s books into the show, although Season 3 will air out of order. Seasons 1 and 2 followed the timeframe of Quinn’s books. The third season will skip over the third novel, An Offer From a Gentleman, which follows Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) search for love, and instead focus on the fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, which follows Penelope and Colin.
Nicola Coughlan has vowed that Season 3 would feature plenty of raunchy sequences if the show keeps faithful to the novel, even though Season 2 may not have lived up to the steamy benchmark set by Daphne and The Duke in Season 1.
So much so that, according to Digital Spy, she is seeking a special PG cut for her family to watch. “There’s a scene in the carriage,” the narrator says. If they are squabbling and suddenly everything becomes romantic, it will make for a terrific scene in the show.
Even though I get the creeps at the thought of it being filmed, I believe it would be great. She then went on to elaborate as follows. I’m aware of how hot the scene can get. Future occurrences are already known to me in advance. The official Season 3 summary from Netflix is as follows:
Season 3 of Bridgerton, produced by Shondaland and its new showrunner Jess Brownell, finds Penelope Featherington letting go of her longtime affection for Colin Bridgerton after hearing his critical remarks about her in Season 2.
But she’s decided it’s time to be married and settle down, ideally with a man who will allow her enough freedom to live a double life as Lady Whistledown away from her mother and sisters. Her lack of confidence dooms Penelope’s attempts to navigate the marriage market.
While all was going on, Colin returned from his summertime exploits, still feeling confident and young. He is discouraged from learning that Penelope, who has always accepted him for who he is, has stopped paying attention to him. Colin offers to coach Penelope in confidence so she can find a husband this year to win back her friendship.
When Colin’s lessons begin to have an excessively negative impact, he must determine whether his emotions for Penelope are more than platonic. Penelope’s increasing prominence in the ton makes it harder to conceal her identity as Lady Whistledown. Her disagreement with Eloise—who has made a new ally in an unlikely place—only fuels the fire.
