Christian Mccaffrey Injury: The 2022 NFL regular season is in its fourth week. The constant flow of injury bulletins adds more words to the daily practice reports. Christian McCaffrey, a running back with the Carolina Panthers, did not participate in Wednesday or Thursday’s practices because of a quad injury.
Is there an update on McCaffrey’s health, and should fantasy football owners be worried about his availability for Sunday’s game? Regarding fantasy football, injuries are by far the most challenging part. My 16-year-old self would love it if we could just mute them like in Madden.
Unfortunately, that’s not how the actual world operates. With Week 4 approaches, a growing number of fantasy-important players have been injured, McCaffrey included. McCaffrey’s inability to stay on the field has made him a joke among fantasy managers, even though he started all 48 games over his first three seasons.
McCaffrey only appeared in 10 games during the 2020-21 season. This determination to play continued into 2022, when he started the year fully intending to do so. So far, McCaffrey has been in perfect health despite a few unimportant concerns that have just surfaced. On Wednesday, however, everything shifted.
Wednesday practice reports have lost some significance over the past few years because veterans are often given the day off. Towards the end of the season, when any player who has been even slightly injured will be held out, coaches will be highly cautious.
McCaffrey’s injury to his thigh or quad prevented him from participating in Wednesday’s practice. The Athletic’s Joe Person reports that head coach Matt Rhule has been out from an undisclosed date due to an ailment. To quote, “I didn’t find out about it until after [the Saints’] game.”
As for McCaffrey’s participation in this week’s game, Rhule wouldn’t even begin to guess. That doesn’t necessarily mean McCaffrey will miss a week or more of action, but if the injury weren’t serious, Rhule probably wouldn’t have mentioned it.
When McCaffrey’s name mysteriously appeared on the injury list before Week 2 with a reported ankle injury, we immediately learned that it was just a cut and that he would be OK to play. McCaffrey’s quad was not like that at all. Please tell your friends about this if you think it’s interesting. Go to Newswatchlist.com for the latest updates and news about celebrities.
