On March 13, 1976, American theater and film actor Daniel Peter Masterson was born. From 1998 to 2006, he portrayed Steven Hyde on That ’70s Show; from 2012 to 2014, he portrayed Milo Foster on Men at Work; and from 2016 to 2018, he portrayed Jameson “Rooster” Bennett on The Ranch.

Danny Masterson Net Worth
American actor, disc jockey, and convicted felon Danny Masterson is worth $8 million. His actress wife, Bijou Phillips, contributes to that total. Hyde, played by Danny Masterson, was a popular character on the TV show “That ’70s Show.” Between 1998 and 2006, there were 200 episodes of the show, and he was in every one of them.
In addition to his role on “That ’70s Show,” Danny is a household name thanks to his starring role on “The Ranch.” Masterson is also known as “DJ Mom Jeans,” a DJ moniker he has used in the past.
Three separate women accused Masteron of rape in 2017, permanently damaging his reputation. Three counts of rape were filed against him in 2020. On May 31, 2023, a jury convicted Danny Masterson guilty of two of the three accusations against him. He was convicted of “forceable r@pe” on two unidentified women. A guilty finding would result in a 15-year prison sentence for him.
Danny Masterson Actual Property
Danny was selling his property on Holly Mont Drive, Los Angeles, for $1.595 million in 2007. The four-bedroom home has a marble and gold leaf fireplace, an infinity pool, a hot tub, a two-car garage, and a yard with many terraces. The actor had paid $560,000 for the house in 1998, not long after he had been earning a fortune from his recurring role on “That ’70s Show.”
Six apartments and modest apartment buildings were among the real estate investments Masterson had made by this point. Danny acquired a Los Angeles apartment in 2003 and sold it to Laura Prepon a year later for $165,000.
In 2020, it was reported that Masterson’s mansion in the Hollywood Hills had some strange link to the rape case he was facing in court. He had already rented out his Hollyridge Drive property and was making his home in Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara County, his primary residence. This 4,323-square-foot mansion (formerly owned by Chuck Berry) was purchased by him in 2007 for $2.995 million.

Danny was arrested in June of 2020 for rape and posted a $3.3 million bond to get out of jail. He put up his house on Hollyridge Drive as collateral for the bail. When Masterson was in the process of getting his house financed, he accused the Bank of New York Mellon and Mortgage Electronic Registrations Systems (MERS) of filing fraudulent papers.
Danny claimed that he was exempt from further mortgage payments because of these events. Another attorney commented, “Plaintiffs appear to be merely throwing arguments up against the wall with the hope that they can formulate some basis for canceling their mortgage loan without full repayment.”
It appears that Masterson brought these cases (many of them on his own) in an effort to protect his property. After initially offering the home for $7 million, Danny eventually sold it in December 2021 for $6.2 million.
Danny Masterson Career
Master’s first major film appearance was in the sequel to “Beethoven,” titled “Beethoven’s 2nd.” In the early ’90s, he was also a main character in the sitcom “Cybill.” After two years on the show, he tried out for “That ’70s Show,” despite being a few years too old for the role. The script for Hyde was rewritten from the ground up after Danny’s hilarious audition to better suit Masterson’s personality.
His career was catapulted by the part, and he continued to play Danny on all eight seasons of “That ’70s Show.” Masterson continued to work in television after the series ended, guest starring on shows including “Punk’d” and “MADtv.” He co-starred with Jim Carrey in the comedy “Yes Man” (2008).
His wife, Bijou Phillips, co-starred with him in 2009’s “The Bridge to Nowhere.” After guest starring on shows like “White Collar” and in movies like “The Chicago 8,” Danny landed a part on the comedy series “Men at Work” in 2012. From 2016-2018, he was the main attraction on “The Ranch.”
