Emily Atack of Celebrity Juice has a thrilling TV gig coming up, which explains her most recent hairstyle change.
Over on Instagram Stories yesterday (March 21), the star re-shared the cast announcement for Disney+ drama Rivals, an adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s iconic 1988 novel.
“Can FINALLY reveal the reason behind by new bonce…” Atack wrote over it. “I’ll be playing the very naughty Sarah Stratton in ‘Rivals’ – THE DREAM!!! And Christ, what a cast.”
Her character Sarah is Deputy Prime Minister Paul Stratton’s “ambitious” wife, who is “not afraid to use her looks to get to the top.”
Rufus Jones of W1A plays Paul, described as “in the throes of a midlife crisis” and “everyone knows it.”
A long-running rivalry between two powerful men reaches its boiling point in the fictional county of Rutshire in the series’ exploration of the competitive world of 1980s independent television.

Original author Cooper commented (via Disney): ”I’m utterly enchanted to be able to announce our all-star line-up for Rivals. Featuring some of the best acting talents the British Isles offers, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better ensemble cast.
“I cannot wait to be on set and see them bring the characters I love so much to life.”
