Autumn Sanford, the first child born at Woman’s Hospital in 2023, entered the world less than 20 minutes after the new year had begun.
Latrinda Sanford, a proud mother, welcomed her daughter into the world at 12:16 in the morning on January 1, 2023.
Sanford did not anticipate being pregnant two weeks before her due date of January 15 or having the first child in 2023. Only a few minutes after the clock struck midnight, she welcomed Autumn, thanks to Sanford’s early delivery. Autumn, who weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 20 inches long, was born at 12:16 in the morning. Both the mom and the child are doing well.
Parents Samantha and Keith welcomed Harper Rose into the world at the Baton Rouge General Birth Center on New Year’s Day.
About six weeks before her due date, Baby Harper arrived because she was eager to take on 2023. Harper was delivered at the hospital for the first time in 2023 at 6:21 a.m. and weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz. With additional assistance from the BRG NICU staff, mom and baby are both doing well.
