“High School of the Dead” is a popular anime series based on Daisuke and Shoji Sato’s manga. The anime depicts what would happen if a huge portion of the population suddenly turned into the undead, and it follows the astonishing surge in zombie literature.
Within the series, the plague is referred to as “The Outbreak,” while the zombies are nearly invariably referred to as “Them.” However, in classic zombie-world fashion, the voracious corpses aren’t always the most deadly survivors, with other survivors frequently appearing to be considerably more threatening.
It may not be the most accessible anime, but it continues to remain beloved among dedicated fans.
The manga is presently available in seven volumes, as well as two omnibus versions that contain volumes one through four and volumes five through seven, respectively.

The anime series’ first season consisted of twelve episodes plus a stand-alone special (or “OVA”) that was jam-packed with fan service. When will fans of “High School of the Dead” be able to view a second season?
High School Of The Dead Season 2 Release Date
In April of 2013, the manga’s final chapter was published. On September 20, 2010, the final episode of Season 1 aired. After that, on April 26, 2011, the OVA “Drifters of the Dead” was released on Blu-Ray. This means that there are three more manga volumes to read. When is “High School of the Dead” going to be released?
Daisuke Sato, the show’s original creator, died in 2017 because there isn’t much hope for a second season of “High School of the Dead.” The second speed bump is the length of time since the show initially aired. The first season of the show finished ten years ago.
They still have hope for a brighter future, just as the survivors of “HSotD,” who do as well. It’s feasible that someone will decide to bring it back now that there is some source material left to work with.
The anime’s first season includes volumes 1 through four of manga. So there are only three volumes remaining.

High School Of The Dead Season 2 Plot
“High School of the Dead” follows an intrepid band of survivors as they make their way through a hostile world, much like earlier works in the zombie-verse. The students at “High School of the Dead” are mostly wonderful people, although as previously said, not everyone wants to help humanity rise above its more animalistic features.
Answers to what transpired before “The Outbreak” and whether any malicious elements are completely responsible for the disaster could be found.
It’s also worth noting that the source material manga ended abruptly as well, so whoever takes over “High School of the Dead” and wants to continue the plot will have to chart their own course. Is there any hope for a normal life in a society where the majority of people are traumatized or dead?
Is there a simple way to cure the undead without smashing their heads in? It’s possible that we’ll never see another season of “High School of the Dead,” but one can only dream.
High School Of The Dead Season 2 Trailer
Because no official words were received by the producer for the releasing date of season 2 hence there is no official trailer also not released so for your reference you can watch the first season trailer.
Final Lines
Note that the manga for the original material came to an abrupt end as well, so if someone else wishes to take over the series and wants to continue the story, they’ll have to start from the beginning.
