Intel Announces 13th Gen Core Processors: The 13th Gen mobile processors from Intel were unveiled on Tuesday at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023. 32 new 13th Gen Intel Core mobile processors with new features and capabilities for all laptop categories were unveiled by the American chipmaker.
Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Executive VP and General Manager of the Client Computing Group at Intel, say, “The 13th Gen Intel Core mobile CPU family delivers unmatched, scalable performance for leadership platforms across all laptop segments.”
13th Gen Intel Core H-series Processors
The first 24-core laptop CPU is part of Intel’s 13th Gen Core H-series mobile processors.
The 13th Gen HX processors “provide the world’s greatest mobile gaming platform when combined with features including support for both DDR4 and DDR5 memory, connectivity, and PCIe Gen 5,” according to Intel.
13th Gen Intel Core P-series and U-series Processors
The 13th Gen Intel Core P-series and U-series mobile processors for svelte, thin, and mobile devices were also unveiled by Intel. The Intel Movidius, visual processing unit will be present in some 13th Generation Intel Core processor-based designs for the first time (VPU).

The AI-intensive activities necessary for professional-grade collaboration and streaming may be offloaded to the VPU, freeing the CPU and GPU for other workloads or multitasking, thanks to co-engineering work done with Microsoft on its new Windows Studio Effects.
The new mobile processors are said to improve performance for next-generation designs, thin and light laptops, foldable, 2 and 1s, and other form factors throughout the H, P, and U series.
This year, Intel anticipates the release of more than 300 distinctive designs from companies including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Razer, Republic of Gamers, Samsung, and others.
13th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processor
Along with the new 13th Gen Intel Core CPUs, Intel has also revealed an improved desktop processor experience.
Intel Processor N-series
The N-series products, designed by Intel for the education market, entry-level computing, and IoT edge native applications, now include the new processor and Core i3.
