“I walked into the hospital room … and the hurt on his mother’s face, I’ll never forget that. How she couldn’t believe it. Six months old. Gone.”
Added the athlete: “Now that he would be eleven. I used to imagine how he might appear if he were still alive. I still give it some thought daily.” He continued by stating that sudden infant syndrome was the cause of death.

He cited that turning point as the beginning of his drug spiral and said his use “subconsciously ramped up” as a coping mechanism for the loss.
Lamar told his cast mates about the death of his second son in a Celebrity Big Brother episode from the third season. He remarked, “I know I’ll meet him in the afterlife,” about his departed son Jayden. Todd Bridges, another member of his CBB3 cast, said: “My heart goes out to Lamar because he’s dealt with so much.”
