At 14, Jerry Jarrett began promoting professional wrestling matches and numerous other endeavors. He began renting a structure and constructing a wrestling ring.
Before every game, he also had refreshments ready. Jerry worked as a buying representative for the Murray Ohio Manufacturing Corporation before beginning his professional wrestling career.
Jerry received instruction from Sailor Moran, a seasoned wrestler, and his friend Tojo Yamamoto. Jerry’s first wrestler match occurred in Hyatt, Missouri, in 1965.
Jarrett established the Continental Wrestling Association in 1977. In July 1980, Jerry and Tojo Yamamoto won the first CWA World Tag Team Championship.
They were defeated by Dutch Mantell and Austin Idol the following month. Jerry briefly competed in professional wrestling in 1985 while wearing the Hawaiian Flash mask.
He officially retired in 1988, although he later returned to wrestle for the United States Wrestling Association in the 1990s.
Jerry and his mother launched a professional wrestling show for Gulas in the Memphis region at the beginning of the 1970s. He spent a few years working as a promoter.
Early in the new millennium, he stopped advertising. Following that, he began serving as a consultant for World Championship Wrestling.
What Was Jerry Jarrett Cause of death?
The WWE made a death announcement for Jerry on February 14, 2023. The genius of the wrestling world battled esophageal cancer for long months; nevertheless, the cause of death has not been made public.
After hearing of his passing, several wrestling personalities and fans paid respect to Jerry on social media.
“Jerry Jarrett had my heart. He had faith in me. “Sean Waltman (aka X-Pac), a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, wrote the script.
“He is to blame for Marty [Jannetty], and I am winning the Tag Championship. I was also among the first persons he phoned to assist in launching TNA. Jerry has my sincere gratitude, and I’m sorry I won’t see him again.”

Jerry, who began his career as a referee in the 1960s, greatly impacted the wrestling business.
However, Jerry was able to turn pro and mostly wrestle for NWA Mid-America with the aid of his friend Tojo Yamamoto and seasoned wrestler Sailor Moran.
He established the Continental Wrestling Association in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1977; in addition to running the promotion, Jerry occasionally engaged in wrestling.
Although having officially retired in 1988, he made a comeback in the middle of the 1990s and competed for the now-defunct United States Wrestling Association.
While working as a consultant for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the World Wrestling Federation, Jerry temporarily took a break from the promotion (now the WWE).
He offered to purchase WCW in 2001; regrettably, the WWE bought the business and rapidly destroyed its final competitive threat.
Together with the late Bob Ryder, Jerry and his son Jeff co-founded NWA: TNA in May 2002. After WWE, the wrestling promotion has since been ranked second-biggest in the country.
