Jonathan Majors’ girlfriend, who reported him to police after he allegedly punched and choked her, apparently acknowledged her fault and decided not to file a complaint against the Marvel actor.
After Majors’ detention on Saturday, his unnamed girlfriend sent him texts, according to attorney Priya Chaudhry, who had earlier claimed to have proof of his innocence.
“Please let me know you’re okay when you get this,” she wrote in texts provided to TMZ. “They assured me that you won’t be charged.”
“They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight,” she continued. “I’m so angry that they did. And I’m sorry you’re in this position.”
“Will make sure nothing happens about this. I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone.”
She also texts, “I love you” — and after more than three hours pass without a response from Majors, 33, she assures him that she told police the fight between them “was not an attack.”
The girlfriend stated that she would use her resources to assist Majors in staying clear of any legal issues or charges.
“I know you have the best team and there’s nothing to worry about. I just want you to know that I’m doing all I can my end,” she wrote.
According to Chaudhry, her legal team anticipates that the accusations will be dismissed soon despite her client’s constant denials of misconduct.
