Kevin signed a new contract with Paramount before the start of production on the fifth season of “Yellowstone,” increasing his pay to $1.2 million per episode for what was to be a 16-episode season split into two installments.
The initial broadcast period was from November 2022 to January 2023. The conflict between Costner and the show’s creator/producer, Taylor Sheridan, and Paramount over how many days he would need to film the second tranche was made public in February 2023.
