Kirstie Alley Ex Husband Parker Stevenson, Posts Tribute After Her Death!
Social media is still flooded with condolences for the late Kirstie Alley, who passed away on December 5 at age 71. The most recent was when her ex-husband, fellow actor Parker Stevenson, uploaded a flashback picture of the two along with some complimentary remarks.
Dear Kirstie, I appreciate our years together, as well as our two wonderful children and now grandchildren, Parker Stevenson said in the caption of an Instagram image. We will miss you. Sincerely, Parker
The actor, who received two Emmy nominations (for “Cheers” and “David’s Mother”), passed away following a short battle with cancer that had only recently been identified.
In 1986, Parker Stevenson, now 70, and Alley co-starred in the miniseries “North & South: Book 2, Love and War.” They were married from 1983 to 1997. After her miscarriage, they adopted two kids: William True in 1992 and Lillie in 1994. In 1997, the couple got a divorce.
In Stevenson’s Instagram comment section, comedian Kevin Nealon wrote, “Very sorry, Parker. We were considering you and your loved ones.
“Our mother’s zeal and love for life, her children, grandchildren, and her numerous animals, not to mention her perpetual delight of creation, were unsurpassed and left us encouraged to live life to the fullest just as she did,” True and Lillie stated in a statement on December 5.
The “Cheers” star was wed to Bob Alley from 1970 until 1977 before getting hitched to Stevenson.
