The first season of Love is Blind Japan aired in 2022, and viewers from all around the world liked the “grounded” reality show, which was based on a social experiment in which couples don’t meet each other until after they have become engaged.
In the end, it was successful for two different couples, who both tied the knot on the show. Now, Netflix has made it public knowledge that they are doing an extensive search for competitors for the second season of Love is Blind Japan.

love Is Blind Japan Season 2 Plot
A second season of “Love is Blind: Japan,” if it receives a second season order, will continue the show’s typical formula of bringing together a group of marriage-minded singles via a Wall to meet, flirt, date, and perhaps even get married.
Participants will spend ten days in these “pods” to get to know each other before making their final decision, after which the couples will be escorted on a romantic holiday.
For the next three to four weeks, they’ll be living together to see if their emotional connection can genuinely outweigh their physical attraction. To address the question of whether or not love is truly blind, the couples who have remained together must travel down the aisle.
love Is Blind Japan Season 2 Cast
The first season had a diverse group of personalities, including a divorced woman and a 56-year-old man, who broke the norms of reality shows. Japanese people aren’t used to seeing these kinds of shows on TV, so it was a bit of a challenge to find people who were prepared to be vulnerable and “negative” on camera.
When asked about the casting process, they responded that “I wasn’t [in the] casting department, but I heard something about how serious they are about marriage, etc.” In addition, they stated that it was “open casting” and that everyone was found via social media. Love is Blind’s casting process in the United States is remarkably comparable.
No particular type of person is sought, according to executive producer Chris Coelen, as reported by the Los Angeles Times (though the show has been criticized for not casting outside of a certain body type).
There is nothing, in particular, we’re looking for.” It’s up to us to see what happens,” he remarked. “It’s wonderful when two people who appear to be physically unsuitable for each other fall in love.” That’s the issue: What is your definition of “mismatch”?”
Love is Blind: Japan Season 2 information will be added to this post as it becomes available.

The reality TV show #LoveIsBlind “has proved adept at producing couples that last long after filming wraps,” Hannah Giorgis writes. Yet the interracial romance between its breakout stars seems to have succeeded not because of the show but in spite of it: https://t.co/erBvcdkpzJ

Since other versions of the show, like the Brazilian or American ones, have gotten a lot of attention from people all over the world, there is a good chance that Netflix will renew the show. We all know that work on the first season began in the first three months of 2021.
So, it took almost a year to get everything done. So, if everything stays the same, we can expect the streaming giant to renew Love is Blind Japan Season 2 in the next two to three months, and it will come out in the second quarter of 2023.
