Who Is Mallory Pugh Husband, Dansby Swanson?
In December of 2021, Swanson popped the question to Mallory Pugh, a member of the Chicago Red Stars and the U.S. women’s national soccer team. Pugh’s brother-in-law and Swanson’s ex-teammate Jace Peterson set up the pair, and they’ve been dating since 2017.
Although Justin and Leonidas Dansby played in the minor leagues, they could not make it to the majors, and therefore Swanson is the first major league player to have the surname “Dansby” in his name. Swanson’s mother’s maiden name was Dansby.
Hence James is his first name. He is the youngest of three children; his older brother, Chase, played baseball for the Mercer Bears, while his older sister, Lindsey, played softball for Georgia College. Swanson’s anxiety disorder hindered his play throughout his first several years in the major leagues.
