Marisa moved into a Manhattan one-bedroom in 1994; when her next-door neighbors moved out a few years later, she acquired their apartment and tore down the wall between them.
Two bedrooms and two baths were added to the resulting 2,265 square feet, and she listed the property for $7.5 million in 2018. She finally deleted the selling listing and instead placed the property up for rent for $12,000 per month. She maintains ownership of the unit to this day.
