In 2004 and 2008 they spent a total of $20.6 million to acquire two properties in the San Francisco suburb of Woodside, for a total of 8.7-acres. The house on the land is 6,300 square feet in size. They put the home on the market in 2018 for $29 million, and in January of 2020, they sold it for $22 million.
They bought a house in the Pacific Palisades of Los Angeles for $8.15 million in 2016. They spent a grand total of $15.85 million, including the purchase of the neighboring home in September 2018. The initial property was sold to Texas businessman and Astros owner Jim Crane in January 2020 for $9.1 million.
Simultaneously, the price of the second property was set at $8.35 million. After a year, the price was reduced to $7.3 million. Michelle and David spent $22.25 million in February of 2020 for a mansion in the Pacific Palisades. They put the house up for sale on July 9, 2021, and supposedly got their asking price within two weeks.
