Jagger studied business at the London School of Economics on a government stipend while Richards and Jones plotted the formation of their own rhythm and blues band. Jagger eventually dropped out of LSE to work with Richards and Jones, laying the groundwork for what would become The Rolling Stones.

In 1979, he received 200,000 pounds for selling the estate to a businessman. For the sum of 2.5 million pounds in 1998, Rod Stewart made a real estate purchase. Stewart parted with the home in 2012 for 15 million pounds to a member of the opiod-rich Sackler family. Jagger bought his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick a $1.98 million property in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, in 2020.
