More than a week after suffering catastrophic injuries in a tragedy that claimed the life of his high school love, a teen from Fulton passed away.
According to Fulton School Superintendent Brian Pulvino, 16-year-old Brady Niver of Fulton passed away on Monday from injuries sustained in the collision.
Rylee Bartlett, his 17-year-old girlfriend, was m*rdered on April 30 at 5:35 p.m. on state Route 48 close to Chesbro Drive in the town of Granby when the vehicle she was operating crossed into oncoming traffic. Brady, a passenger in the car, suffered severe injuries.
The Fulton neighborhood has come together and prayed for Brady over the past week while he underwent surgery and remains in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital.

The junior prom, “A Night Under the Stars,” was scheduled for this Friday, and the pair, who had been together since seventh grade, was excited to go.
Brady died from his injuries earlier in the day, Pulvino informed the families in the school district in a message on Monday night.
Starting on Tuesday at G. Ray Bodley High School, the district’s crisis response team will be accessible to students and employees again.

Dear FCSD Community:
I regret that I have more sad news to share with our school community.
Despite a valiant effort, our student who was severely injured in the motor vehicle accident last Sunday succumbed to his injuries and died earlier today.
Our crisis response team will be available for students and staff at G. Ray Bodley High School throughout the day tomorrow, and in the days ahead.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if any student, staff or community member needs individual support as we grieve this tremendous loss.
We appreciate your ongoing kindness and support. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, loved ones and friends of all involved.
