Is Sebastian Maniscalco Starting A New Comedy Cooking Show?
Maniscalco had to put his standup comedy career on hold when the coronavirus pandemic caused the closure of entertainment establishments. So, he used that opportunity to start production on his brand-new cookery comedy series, Well Done with Sebastian Maniscalco.
“For five to seven years, I have been attempting to enter the cooking industry. I’m passionate about cooking, so I thought, “What can we do?” “48-year-old Maniscalco told the New York Post.
“Until the epidemic, nothing struck a chord with me; a friend of mine, Dominick DiBartolomeo, had his firm destroyed. He has his line of Italian culinary goods and supplies meats and cheeses to neighborhood restaurants in Los Angeles.
To reach Maniscalco’s devoted fan base and generate money for charity, DiBartolomeo and Maniscalco decided to host a Sunday supper. According to Maniscalco, “It worked out.” It was a huge hit, so I created a TV program combining my two loves, humor and cooking.
“I decided to do it since it would revolve around my interests in the culinary arts and because I have two young children. As a father, I want to impart knowledge to my children, such as how to bake bread or take them fishing and demonstrate proper hook-baiting. The first episode of Sebastian Maniscalco’s Well Done airs on Discovery+ on Thursday, August 12.
Maniscalco and comedian Russell Peters will discuss the parallels between comedy and sushi in the seven-episode series. Other highlights include a “meat-centric” dinner party with Bert Kreischer and Anjelah Johnson and sandwich hunting with Rich Eisen, Fortune Feimster, Gillian Jacobs, and Oscar Nunez.
Three episodes make up the premiere; after that, one episode will air every Thursday. Maniscalco told the Post that while learning about a particular meal or preparing a dish, “you’re going to have a little smile on your face.”
People enjoy tuning in and temporarily putting their concerns aside for 30 minutes, similar to when I perform stand-up comedy. They can escape for a while by laughing while enjoying a cooking show.
