SPM Release Date: After being apprehended in 2002, SPM was given a 45-year prison term. By the terms of his sentence, he will be eligible for release on April 8, 2047. A parole hearing is scheduled for 2024; if he is successful, he may be released from prison earlier.

Is SPM Still In Jail?

He is still incarcerated at this time. The rapper is halfway through a 45-year sentence for the sexual abuse of a 9-year-old girl in 2002. According to reports, the 51-year-old passed away while incarcerated in the Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, Texas. This is all nonsense, though, as he is very much alive and serving time in prison.

Why Is SPM In Jail?

On May 30, 2002, Carlos Coy was arrested for the serious sexual assault of a child under the age of nine. In 2001, as far as we can tell, the incident occurred. During his trial, the judges introduced a new allegation related to a horrifying occurrence in 1993, when he is said to have impregnated a girl of 13 years old.

In March 2002, two more charges were filed for the sexual abuse of two 14-year-old girls. After the 2001 attack on the kid friend of Coy’s daughter, he was fined $10,000. An assault allegedly occurred at a sleepover he was throwing for Carley.

For his heinous deeds, he received a substantial 45-year sentence. He was sent to the Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, Texas, when he was 31. Coy insists on his guiltlessness. Though he will be parole-eligible in 2024, he likely won’t be released until April 8th, 2047.

Who Is SPM?

Houston is the place where Carlos Coy entered the world on October 5th, 1970. He is currently 51 years old and is likely to be in prison until 2047. Coy began his career as a Christian rapper, but he felt like he was an outcast because of it. In 1994, Coy started his career as a rapper under the monikers South Park Mexican and SPM.

Coy, his brother Arthur Jr., and their mutual friend and McAllen, Texas native Jose Antonio Garza founded Dope House Records in 1995. In March 1995, Coy released his first album under the moniker South Park Mexican (SPM), titled Hillwood.

Two years had passed since Coy’s debut album was released before he began production on his second album in 1997. His second studio album, “Hustle Town,” came out in March 1998. In Houston’s underground rap culture, the record was a significant hit. If you think this is interesting, please share it with your friends.
