Usman 90 Day Fiance: On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Kim Menzies’s chance of marrying Usman “Sojaboy” Umar is decreasing. The 52-year-old San Diego woman and her 33-year-old fiancé, Usman, traveled to Sokoto, Nigeria, on Sunday night’s show to ask for his family’s approval. It was not a productive meeting.
“It is going way worse than I ever thought it would,” Kim said. “The cow didn’t even help me. They think I’m being disrespectful and trying to bribe them.” Usman 90 Day Fiance
At the end of last week’s episode, Kim presented Usman’s mom with a bull she had purchased. The customary present was intended to express affection for the family but was interpreted as self-promotional.
Kim requested if she may speak to the family, and Usman accompanied her to the living room. Usman 90 Day Fiance
Wishing you could meet me as I truly am, I said, “Everything I do is from the heart, and those who know me would die if they believed that your family would think I would bribe them.”
She cried when Usman’s brother told her about their difficulties with Lisa Hamme, Usman’s first wife. Usman 90 Day Fiance
“That’s not my fault,” Kim said while crying. “That’s not my problem. If you disagree with me and you’ll never accept me, I’ll go home.” She continued by saying the cow was not a bribe, and although she is not the perfect woman, “the love is there.”
While she acknowledged the family’s concern about prior occurrences repeating themselves, Kim said she didn’t think it was fair to be stereotyped and likened the dialogue to “talking to a brick wall.”
She shrugged and continued, “I’m not like her, and I feel ridiculous that I have to justify myself this much.” Usman listened as Kim made an effort to argue her case as the rest of the family conversed. That’s a big deal in my culture for me to give him a second wife,” she said.
Usman has always wanted children, but his fiancée is past childbearing age, so the couple broke the news to her family. Following some consideration, Usman’s mother stated her preference for her son to wed a younger, local woman before proceeding with any foreign brides.
Usman’s mom remarked, “I think he should marry a younger woman. This is our culture, and one should respect tradition.” She was scared that her son would abandon his American wife and go live with her. Usman 90 Day Fiance
Usman’s mother left the room after a furious exchange, and his brother said she wanted Kim and Usman to leave the house.
Usman admitted to his fiancee that they were unprepared for how difficult it would be to win over Usman’s mother and be married.
“We don’t know what we’re going to do now,” Kim said. “It was a bad experience,” Usman added.
They reunited later in the program to figure out what they should do next as a pair. Usman takes a mani-pedi from a local who interrupts them at their outside eatery.
“I do like a smooth, put-together man because we’re supposed to be coming up with a plan to get his mom’s blessing, and Usman is getting a pedicure and manicure,” Kim said in a confessional. “What is that?” Usman 90 Day Fiance
While Usman got his nails done, Kim continued checking in on him periodically. Kim said, “I’m delighted your nails are nice now that you’ve been listening so much.”
The couple reviewed their proposed timeline again, including their plans to get engaged, get Usman a visa, get married, and then move to the United States. Usman submitted that they reveal their whole schedule for the future to his family.
It’s worth a shot. He said, Kim. Usman 90 Day Fiance
She said yes, but she wouldn’t be anyone’s second wife, no matter what they said or did.
She finally came clean: “If I leave here unmarried, I leave here single.” But Usman was not satisfied with that response.
“I’ve been compromising more than what you’ve compromised,” he said. “You’re not compromising anything for me.”
Even though Usman had publicly declared his distaste for American women, he found himself in a relationship with one.
“It just so occurred. Finally, I learned that my feelings for you are reciprocated “His “It happened naturally. Then I found out that I love you, and you love me too,” he said. “And now you’re here telling me you can’t do this? You’re making me feel like I’m begging you.”
Usman revealed in an interview that Kim’s casual breakup remark left him feeling “extremely disrespected,” given the two years he had already put into the relationship. But he vowed that he wouldn’t give up:
Kim’s insistence that she wouldn’t settle for becoming “anybody’s second anything” in his family infuriated Usman. Usman 90 Day Fiance
While he acknowledges that the women in his life have the potential to be attractive, he insists that he and Kim’s love is the driving force for his decision to remain with her.
Am I ugly now?” While Usman answered Kim’s question, Kim stormed off in a huff. Usman 90 Day Fiance
“Telling me we should break up? At your age? If we break up, do you think I have anything to regret? You need to understand that I don’t need anything from any woman,” he said.
Usman admitted in an interview that Kim is more vulnerable to heartbreak now that she is older. He claimed to have gorgeous, wealthy women waiting in his direct messages.
Inside her hotel room, Kim sobbed, “I’m not doing this. He doesn’t deserve it. I’m weary of the little f—-ing things. Like he’s doing me a favor.”
“Let him find one that’s as good as I am,” Kim said, questioning if her relationship was even real. “I don’t even want the blessing now. I just don’t care.”
