It makes it natural that Lana Del Rey’s fans would be interested in learning more about her real-life love life, given how many of her songs are about love, passion, and heartbreak.
Even though many of those situations haven’t been the most pleasant, Lana’s real-life romance experiences have inspired many of her lyrics.
Here’s the breakdown of Lana’s current dating situation.
Is Lana Del Rey Currently Dating Anyone?
The Grammy-nominated musician appears to be single in 2023. Her most recent romance began in July 2022 when she started dating independent “witch house” musician and absolute bad boy Jack Donoghue.
In a since-deleted post captioned “family visit,” photos showed the two musicians side by side outside of Chicago’s Cook County Jail. The aesthetic images exploded on Twitter, with a viral tweet even comparing the duo to Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson — an alternate reality of Kim and Pete.
A source close to Jack told the Daily Mail that the two were “this unexpected power couple of dark, twisted Americana,” which is a wild statement.
“They seem really into each other. I mean, she’s made pretty clear in her music she likes bad boys with tattoos; Jack is that to the Nth level,” they continued. Additionally, said insider disclosed that “Jack is really romantic” and was “totally crazy about Lana.”
As Lana attended Jack’s 33rd birthday celebration in Los Angeles in May 2022, her relationship with the Salem band member (who might have formerly dated Courtney Love) terminated. It’s unclear precisely when the two broke up.
“Omg the breakup is gonna give us such good music,” Twitter user @ordaneri wrote in response to the iconic Cook County Jail pics. He’s not wrong!
What Does The Rest of The “Summertime Sadness” Singer’s Dating History Look Like?
In December 2020, the world learned that Lana Del Rey was engaged to Clayton Johnson, whom she had allegedly met on a dating app months previously. He is a charming musician that plays in the group Stereo Skyline.
Sadly, the relationship fizzled quickly. In October 2021, a source told the Mirror, “Lockdown had it struggles and they have sadly gone their separate ways.”
In September 2021, after their relationship ended, she erased all of her social media accounts, citing the “so many other interests and other jobs [she’s] doing that require privacy and transparency.” It makes perfect sense to want seclusion when an engagement has ended.
