Bryan issued a long social media apologies for his detention at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The rising star said that his temper had flared out earlier on Thursday, September 7 after an incident involving the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The “Heading South” singer admitted it was out of character for him to interact with law enforcement and claimed he was merely upset at the time. In the end, he said, “I’m just doing the best I can.” As Bryan put it:
“Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys, and I am truly sorry to the officers.”
