On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Zachary Allan Bowman, 23, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away.
Brent Allan Bowman and Kristy Leigh Burgdorf Bowman were the parents of Zachary when he was born on October 10, 1999, in Rome, Georgia. He was a Baptist who had lived all of his life in Rockmart.
Zachary completed his high school education at Rockmart High School in 2018, earned his undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University (Magna Cum Laude), and was pursuing his graduate studies.
Lockheed Martin employed him. Zachary adored video games, travel, and shooting with guns. He loved history, unusual meals, and the University of Georgia football team.

Richard “Ricky” Parks Burgdorf, Zachary’s maternal grandfather, died before him.
Parents Brent and Kristy Bowman, sister Kyleigh Bren Bowman, brother Barrett Christian Bowman, Rita Arnold, Raude Bowman, Jr., and his wife Linda are Zachary’s only surviving relatives.
Zachary’s funeral service will occur on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 3 p.m. in New Prospect Baptist Church, with Mr. David Edge and Rev. Jason Purser officiating. The New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery will then be used for the burial.
From 1:00 p.m. until the start of the funeral on Monday, Zachary’s family will host visitors at the church.
The pallbearers will be Avery Treadwell, Mark Treadwell, Barrett Bowman, Jeff Bowman, Peyton Bowman, Brian Burgdorf, and Gabe Watkins.
